Rest In Peace Brother
Specialist James Yohn 25,
1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood TX

It is with great sadness that we must report the death of James Yohn who was killed while on Active Duty serving his country in Iraq. 

Jimmy was a firefighter with the Highspire Fire Department, a member of the Steelton Fire Department, a good friend, and most of all a brother.  The Officers and Members of the Steelton Fire Department would like to express our condolences to Jimmy's family, friends,  and to our brothers from Highspire. 



Job well done here on earth our brother, you will always be in our hearts!

The Department of Defense announced today the death of three soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.  They Died June 25 in Mosul, Iraq, from wounds suffered when their vehicle encountered an improvised explosive device on June 24.  They were assigned to the 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort Hood, Texas.

Killed were:
Sgt. Alejandro A. Dominguez, 24, of San Diego, CA
  Spc. Joel A. Taylor, 20, of Pinetown, NC
Spc. James M. Yohn, 25, Highspire, PA
